The growing array of green financing mechanisms—such as green bonds, credit guarantees, carbon taxation, village funds, and community trust funds—has proven insufficient to meet the current demands for green investment, highlighting the need to explore alternative project financing avenues.
AI offers a transformative opportunity to accelerate the transition toward sustainable finance. While it facilitates the processing and analysis of large volumes of data, saving time and aiding in the detection of greenwashing, it also presents several challenges. These include the need for new competencies in finance-related professions, the reorganization of job tasks and working conditions, significant energy consumption, and the imperative to uphold ethical standards.
Recent studies have highlighted the urgent need to introduce responsible AI to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with societal norms and expectations. AI technologies should be developed and deployed within an ethical framework driven by stakeholders’ interests. Responsible AI is becoming a fundamental pillar of contemporary sustainability and ethical governance.
In this vein, a promising avenue for responsible AI is improving CSR reporting. It would help to disclose their environmental impacts, social responsibilities, and governance practices, thereby enhancing transparency and accountability to stakeholders. Additionally, carbon taxes incentivize businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by imposing financial penalties on carbon outputs, which in turn promotes the adoption of sustainable technologies. Together, these initiatives encourage companies to embrace environmentally friendly practices.
Given the above considerations, the interactions between Responsible Artificial Intelligence, CSR Reporting, and Carbon Taxation constitute a pivotal occasion for understanding and addressing key global sustainability issues.
Accordingly, the main objectives of CRAFT 2025 focus are promoting high-quality research and creating opportunities for all participants to share their knowledge and engage in discussions on current developments in green finance, artificial intelligence, CSR reporting, and carbon taxation.
CRAFT 2025 is also a crucial networking opportunity to interact with researchers, professionals, politicians, industry experts, media, and thought leaders to discuss new trends related to corporate sustainability.
